Opening of Mount Carmel convent School, Samudrapur's another dream come true! On 26 June 2004

the blessing of Santhwana Home and Dispensary was done by Mar Vijay Anand CMI, the Bishop of Chanda and the inauguration by our Provincial Superior Sr. Lilly Grace on 23 November 2002. On 21 September 2003 the Inauguration and Blessing of 'Santhwana Aged Home for the poor women at Jam was done.

The first Plenary Council of the Second Provincial Synaxis of CMC Carmelodaya Province, Wardha in 1998 decided to start a school for the Mentally Challenged Children and a Hostel for Physically Handicapped Girls at Mount Carmel Convent Campus, Chandrapur.

As a preparation for Y.K.J. 2000, a two day grand Bible Exhibition was conducted at Mount Carmel Chandrapur on Province level. Exhibits from Wardha, Kaghaznagar, Ghugus and Chandrapur. Thousands of people-dignitaries, priests and nuns, parents and guardians, staff and students from other schools and villagers even from remote area came to see the exhibition and went back with illumined minds and hearts full of Gospel Values.

As per the request of Mar Vijay Anand Nedumpuram CMI, Bishop of Chanda, we started Carmel Convent at Sirpur in Andhrapradesh for the uplift of the Physically Handicapped children of the locality on 29 June 1996. But due to some land problem with the consent of the Bishop it was closed down on 7 October 1997.

Mt. Carmel Convent English Medium School at Katol was the fulfillment of a great dream of the people of the locality which was realized in the year 1996. By God's providence we could finish the construction and do the blessing and inauguration of the convent here on 22 April 2002.

17 October 1995 - Carmelodaya Raised to the status of a Province

We started giving our service at Mary Matha Convent High School, Boarding, Dispensary and Tailoring Centre at Saligaon in Andhra Pradesh in 1994. We very painfully gave up our service there on 10 June 2001 due to some unfavourable situations
